LOOKBOOK: KLAR SS17

The proposal for Spring Summer ’17 by the KLAR trio relies on a fresh perspective towards the essence of what has no apparent value or use. Rethinking the useless, through a playful approach towards the scale of ordinary things, KLAR aims to raise attention to the aesthetics that surround contemporary daily life.

Common pieces are reutilised as a unique platform for the presentation of new shapes, enhancing the already iconic KLAR signature. The collection is unapologetically oversized, raising memories of a child trying on adult clothes. This game of proportions is intrinsically rooted with street culture, where style does not follow glossy magazines or trends forecasts. Instead, timeless style is born from a singular place and its chronic culture.

The garments appear crinkled and fitted to the body by clamps and everyday-non-glamorous tools. Pleated satins are outworn by the coexistence with jerseys and nylons. Tailoring is mixed with sporty anoraks and bombers. This idea of place, where daily life and routines rule, is embraced as the idyllic spring summer ’17 scenario, where the irreverent KLAR embrace the passage of time by being motivated by its own iteration.
