EXCLUSIVE: Endrit Krasniqi's Collage series

Endrit Krasniqi has created a mini book series of images exclusive to SKEW magazine. Endrit uses Photoshop to construct collages by manipulating, distorting and changing images allowing him to create obscure textures and to magnify emotions by creating a conflict between the words and images and exploring various taboos like sexuality and masculinity, thereby evoking the viewer to think about what they are seeing . The  images as well as the overall designs that are made by Endrit are contemporary and rotate around youth culture, masculinity, the military and nature. His inspiration derives from contrasting elements of the military, with the explicit display of masculinity, the aggressiveness of defense and an ability to follow rigid discipline: but also an appearance of vulnerability, softness and fear. Scrutinizing and deconstructing the male form and its obvious association with aggressive masculine traits allows Endrit to reduce the assumptions of what a man is, and demonstrates the traits of men we usually do not see and that are often labelled as their insecurities by society.   Generally, his collages present the gentleness of masculinity and beauty of the male form with dramatic aestheticism and artistic nature.
