EXCLUSIVE: Interview with Sebastian Sauve

Sebastian Sauve is currently one of the most successful male supermodels, he has worked with top known photographers, featured in many editorials for huge magazines like SCHON for ex and walked for designers such as Calvin Klein, Moschino and Christian Lacroix to new a few. As well as modelling he is now the Creative director of ODDA Magazine. Following here is my exclusive interview with Sebastian himself:

Hello Sebastian and thank you for taking part in doing this Interview,
For the readers would you be able to give them some back ground information? Such as hometown, family life, where you live and what you are currently doing etc?
Big question but here we go;
Born in Detroit. Half German, part French Irish, Canadian, Scottish. Not in that order. Moved to Germany in 97 when I was 10 then England's 99 and mostly ever since until this job 5 years ago. Then a life on the road as apposed to my previous life in kitchens. I'm a fan of everything at least once. Currently spending time and working in Sydney. Next is around Asia and then possibly moving to NYC a  little more permanently and focusing more.

So how did your fantastic modelling career begin and how did it all come about? How was you spotted?
Another big question?!? I went travelling with my girlfriend before university around America and Central America, and when I was in LA I met a guy called Scott Pollicino, who was staying in the same hostel as us. He asked if I ever thought about being a model. I said that that was crazy talk, only my Mom thinks that! He said that he thought I had a good chance and got me into a casting through some friends of his in NYC, with an agency called Ford in LA. They offered me a contract I had to turn down because of University in England starting a few days later. Through their recommendation, I went to Premier in London and then it all began…

Did you always want to have a career in modelling?
I never thought I could be a model because I didn’t look like a skinny, pasty pale child like the ones I saw. I did think I could do it better than them though. Now that I am a model I’m going to try and do it the way I always thought Id like it to be done. Basically be healthy and enjoy my job, not taking it too seriously but being professional.

What was your first Photoshoot like and the experience?
My first shoot was for Attitude magazine and was on a roof in the middle of London, and dozens of people could see me so there was no room for feeling uncomfortable. Yeah I was scared and felt a little weird but just because there were people that wanted to take pictures of me and put it in a magazine. I bit the bullet, made the effort and it all paid off. I still get nervous every time!

To date what was your best and worst modelling moment?
To tough to say.  More recently My best would be shooting on black sand beaches painted white in new Zealand.
Worst would be when shot in a waterfall and was so cold in didn't even notice when I slipped and cut a few huge gashes in my leg.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years time? Is there a career further into fashion you want to go?
There sure is. Like I said. Everything at least once.

How would you describe your ways of fun, what do you like to do in your spare time?
Eat sleep rave repeat with the addition of watch laugh and get down and dirty

If you had to swap your life with someone for a day, who would it be and why?
Robin Williams. Find out why and how his head worked to make such genius Comedy

Thank you for taking your time in doing this interview and i wish you luck for the future for many good things to happen!
