CHRISHABANA’s Theatrical Winter Ad Campaign

Manhattan-based jewelry designer CHRISHABANA’s fantastical winter campaign compiles three new decadent collections, Strange Fruit, Core, and Giger & Tectonic.

Known for taking gothic motifs and filtering them through a pop lens, the brand’s newest round of photographs are a modernized, sci-fi take on a Caravaggio painting, both theatrical and undeniably edgy.

Instead of casting the stereotypical gaunt group of models, Habana sanctioned four artists across all mediums for this lengthy year-long, two part photo shoot. The creative mannequins included performance artist Dia Dear, installation artist Desi Santiago, New York nightlife queen Ladyfag, and stylist and designer Love Bailey (who also served as Creative Director on set), all of whom provocatively modeled the latest assortment of raw-looking bling.

The delightfully strange portrait-style images mimic characters in a futuristic tarot card deck, including the Empress and Emperor, The High Priestess, The Lovers, The Chariot, and Death.

The mélange of one-of-a-kind pieces from the collection truly lends a heightened, dramatic feature to imagery that already exudes a sense of New York City urban royalty.
