New Look Spring/summer'14 Press Day

Yesterday I got invited to the New Looks press day for their Spring/Summer collection for next year (2014), at their head office in London.
Stars from X-factor also were invited such as Kingsland Road & Sam Callaghan!

New Look menswear is slowly but surely getting to the right point in design of improvement as this collection is by far the strongest they have done of the previous years.

The night consisted of a tour of each collection, from Pastel to prints to skate and tailoring.
As you arrived you got given a bag for the launch which includes freebies such as sunglasses.
Through the entrance you was hit by the array of colours of the palm tree prints and the entrance mannequins.

The main trends I loved the most was the Skate trend and the smart tailoring.
Skate:
This trend is a mixture of black's burgundy's and greys with leather detail as well as mesh.
What I love about this trend is the Givenchy like designs for example there was one key item I loved was the mesh t-shirty with white text and star detailing.
Another key piece was the statement floral bomber jackets!

The suiting was very good this year! the use of tones of pastel really compliments both spring and summer very well making it a very versatile colour palette.
The suit what caught my eye was the checked grey suiting
The double pocket on the right hand side of the suit really adds to the unique design which new look haven't taken before.

The vivid rainforest prints of palm leaves and flowers really stand out. The usual path new look go down isn't like this and have calmer colours. Having this ray of colours and prints really does make a mark on the brand itself.

The photo above showcases the all over print in different garments. On the large tv screens they showcases a model wearing the matching combo and it works really well!

This whole streetwear concept really works for New Look for next year it is a hugely different style for them as many people don't know New Look even do menswear but next year they will definitely know about it.
